Moms B-day party

Another busy weekend; Saturday we went to Amanda’s wedding, it was beautiful. The girls wore red dresses and Amanda was lovely in a dress very similar to the one Wendy wore. Dinner was great and we had a good visit with allot of the neighbors that were there. Sunday the family got together at Mom’s for her 85th birthday. Everyone had a wonderful time playing with all the kids, even if we did melt a little, it was so HOT.

gone Fish'n

What a fun and busy summer it has been. Weddings, Grad parties, birthdays, something going on every weekend. It hasn’t been easy but we did sneak in some fishing time.

I made this digital layout for my computer desktop.

Gone Fishing

Last Saturday Andy, Alexis and Dominick went fishing with us. It rained almost the whole time but we had a good time and caught quite a few fish, mostly sun fish.

Lexie and new Chicks

Lexie and Grandpa holding a new chick. They are a little soaked, it rained really hard while we were walking to the hen house.

Baby Chickens

We have 4 new Baby Chickens in our hen house. There is still several eggs being sat on so hopefully we'll get more. I think these 3 are Banties or proper name Batam chickens, they are so small. We have a variety so I'm not sure. The large chicken that hatched them took the original nest from one of the small ones. We have 2 small chickens on nests too.

new baby chick

I checked on the chickens this morning and a tiny little black fuzzy chick was in the center of the floor just a chirping away. He must have fallen out of the nest box. I put him back in but was too chicken to move mommy hen to see if more were hatched.

Beautiful View

I made this digital lo with Adobe Photo Elements 5. I had to try this new frame technique I learned at Scrapgirls.com it looks complicated but following their step by step directions it was rather simple to do. The papers I used came from the Old Fashioned Christmas collection by Summer Designs; I changed some of the colors a bit to match my page.
