Christmas Header and Background for my blog.

I created a new Header and Background for Christmas. The hard part was getting it set up on my blog. No matter what I did the one I had previous used off a different blog that had them free to use wouldn't go away. I finally found the html for that one hidden under a different widget, once I found it and deleted it then my new one could show through.

New desktop Wallpaper

I made a new desktop wallpaper for Thanksgiving featuring my two sweet Grandchildren.

Sewing Machine Pin Cushion

I made this pin cushion after viewing one on Pinterest.com. I love that site! I find so many good ideas there and I wanted to share one just to show myself that I don't just "look" at all the great ideas but that I do actually put them to use.

I cut the fabric scrap that I had to 6 X 5 1/2 inches, 5 1/2 is the length of the cushion, 6 inches folded in half is the width. The elastic is 1/4 inch by 13 inches. For the stuffing I just used a scrap of quilt batting, cut 3 pieces 4 1/2 X 2 inches.

ribbon organizer

I made a ribbon organizer thanks to the inspiration I found on pinterest.com (I love that site)

When I was putting my ribbon on the organizer I came across some old ric-rac that my Mother-in-law gave me. The packaging was so cute I almost couldn't open them. One of them has a date on it, 1969. I scanned the vintage tags in so I can use them on scrapbook pages at a later date. Look at the prices and the color names, cute!

New Halloween desktop background

Football fan, not really.

Funny story. I want the Vikings to win because they are our team and Tim enjoys it. That said, I am not a football fan I just don’t get into it. Well Tim talked me into playing ESPN pigskin picks with some of the guys. You pick the teams you think are going to win each week and your scores are based on that. I have the high score for the second week in a row! Lol! Not that I know what I’m doing, I just pick the favored each week. But it bugs them so I think it’s hilarious, Ha! Next year they might not ask me to play, lol.

I just remembered something hilarious Lexie said to Grampa this weekend. He was going on about something (I don't remember what) and she said, "It don't matter Grampa, it just really don't matter!" So funny!

Time flies when your having FUN

Too much FUN, I don't think so. Tim and I both took last week off, it was the first time we ever did that. I can't beleive it's over already, it went by way too fast. Time flies when your having fun- that's the truth. We went fishing, caught our limit of sunfish. Went to visit Wendy and family, spent lots of time cuddling with Tristan, (I need some more of that). Went to the new Target field and watched the Twins game, yeah they won! Played with Alexis all weekend, she is so adorable. She even got Grampa to join us for a tea party, he wore a silly hat and all.

My Granddaughter, Great nephew and I celebrated Friday with a Tea Party.

Another busy weekend

Friday night we went fishing on Sullivan lake. The fish weren't biting but it was pleasent to be on the lake.

Saturday Lexie was visiting us while her parents were at a wedding. We took her with us to the Brausen family reunion.

Sunday Chad, Kelly and Danny stopped to visit.

Then we went fishing on Hanna lake. We caught some sunfish and Tim caught a big bass. Afterward we had a nice visit with Bonnie and Stuffy.

More Baby Chicks

We have 4 more new baby chicks in the hen house. They are so tiny, a small bantie hen hatched them.

Moms B-day party

Another busy weekend; Saturday we went to Amanda’s wedding, it was beautiful. The girls wore red dresses and Amanda was lovely in a dress very similar to the one Wendy wore. Dinner was great and we had a good visit with allot of the neighbors that were there. Sunday the family got together at Mom’s for her 85th birthday. Everyone had a wonderful time playing with all the kids, even if we did melt a little, it was so HOT.

gone Fish'n

What a fun and busy summer it has been. Weddings, Grad parties, birthdays, something going on every weekend. It hasn’t been easy but we did sneak in some fishing time.

Last Saturday Andy, Alexis and Dominick went fishing with us. It rained almost the whole time but we had a good time and caught quite a few fish, mostly sun fish.
