Changing an element to match your Digital Lay Out

You can make any element, text, shape or clipart match the look you are going for on your digital scrapbook page with these few simple steps.

I wanted the journey tag to match the rest of my sketch so I changed it. I did this with a few simple steps. I used Adobe Photoshop Elements 5.

I opened the tag onto a transparent background.
I opened a new layer with the paper I wanted the tag to be.
With the paper layer on top of the tag layer I selected the paper layer in the layers pallet.
Then I cut the paper to the tag layer by holding the “Ctrl” key and pressing the “G” key. Then to merge the two layers I held the “Ctrl” key and pushed the “E” key.

Adobe Photoshop Elements Shortcut

I learned a new shortcut on Adobe Photoshop Elements. Click on the layer in the layer pallet that you want duplicated and then hold your Ctrl Key down and push the letter j key.
I copy allot of layers editing photos, making scrapbook sketches and making digital scrapbook pages, what a great time saver this is.
I learned this shortcut from...
